At Bates Drive School, we offer a variety of programs in the classroom, across the school and beyond the school gates to help students build new skills, build connections and explore new interests.

Our extra-curricular highlights
Sport/ Athletics
Students develop gross motor awareness, explore movement concepts, and release endorphins while participating in a variety of movement games and modified sporting skills.
Swimming
Bates Drive has an on-site heated swimming pool. Students develop self-help skills when changing for the swimming program, and learn water safety, sensory regulation breathing techniques, games, and swimming skills.
Incursions
Incursions are planned to align with the curriculum scope and sequence, enhancing student engagement and understanding of topics.
Theme days
Our theme days are designed to engage students in literacy, numeracy, drama, music, and art through curriculum-based activities, helping them explore creative mediums and express themselves.
Trips and excursions
Our students enjoy getting out of the classroom to explore, learn and try new things. These experiences help them grow, build confidence and see how their learning connects to the world.
